The redwood that we supply for guitar wood is cut into slabs for guitar blanks. In this section, you will see guitar blanks that have curly grain which is the most popular grain for guitar/luthier building. Our curly grain ranges from super tight to wide, and is on both vertical and flat grain. Some of the slabs have live edges on one side, but generally there are no live edges. These slabs have a minimum of 21″ in length, and range from 8-20″ wide and 2-3″ thick. This way our guitar blanks are suited for solid body and acoustic guitars. Other instruments, like flutes, can also be made out of these blanks.
